Osteopathic Treatment
We use a variety of different techniques from muscle work to bone/joint work. Each treatment is tailored to the patients needs and requests. Yes we do manipulate and "crack" joints, but only if they are needed, and you feel comfortable with it.
Your Treatment
All treatments are hands on treatments. We diagnose your complaint and if appropriate, will administer a treatment. All treatments are dictated by the condition and therefore not time restricted - if your condition takes 20 mins or 40 mins to treat, we will make sure you are treated properly and fully. A rough guide is 30 mins
When you book, you will receive an email which set out more details of what to expect.
Dan Warin
Osteopath
Dan says:
"Since entering into education, I learnt so much and loved shaping the way in which osteopathy is going. As well as teaching at an undergraduate level, I also teach at post graduate level too. I teach my own courses which are open to practicing qualified osteopaths, and I am really proud to be able to share my skills and knowledge to other osteopaths, helping grow the community. I have even ventured aboard...I have a strong relationship with a teaching college in Ireland, and have delivered lectures in Malta.
Combining my presence in education and my continual professional development, has enabled me to stay up-to-date and at the forefront of current medical practice. I have completed many courses including a dry needling and cranial sacral osteopathic course, all of which I incorporate into my everyday skill set. I have used my cranial osteopathy to successfully treat hundreds of babies, and over the years, I have administered 10s of thousands of treatments to all sorts of conditions, and all sorts of people. All of this enables me to say 'you're in safe hands'. I love my job, and I love being able to help people in any way I can."
Dan Warin - BSc (Hons) Ost Med. PGCE – Senior Osteopath
Dan has been at the Abington Clinic since 2005, has really enjoyed becoming part of the family.
Dan graduated in 2005 from the Surrey Institute of Osteopathic Medicine after completing a 4 year full time course. His degree had a heavy leaning towards a more traditional, classical style of osteopathy, which is now only taught at a post graduate level. Combining classical osteopathy with the more modern-day science based approach, allows Dan to deliver a more rounded and complete form of treatment.
In 2013, Dan completed his PGCE, which is allowing him to pursue his interest in teaching the future generations of osteopaths. With a lecturing and clinical role at the London School of Osteopathy (LSO), Dan has been a 4th year module leader, and delivers final year lectures. He is also an examiner throughout all the year groups, even examining their 5th year final clinical competence exams. He loves shaping the way osteopaths from the LSO are graduating, as well as inspiring the next generation to the full potential that osteopathy can achieve.
